Oscar Nominations.....for 2008, announced today!

Very surprised that Leo Dicaprio did not get a nomination for BEST ACTOR. He's still young, I am sure his turn will come.

Best Actor: I really think this will be a battle between Sean Penn and Mikey Rourke. Both are great actors and well deserving of the academy award.

Best Actress: What can I say.....Kate Kate Kate. I believe she is a sure win - Kate Winslet. However, its nice to see actresses like Ann Hatherway and Amy Adams get nominated.

Best Actor in a supporting role: Its nice that Heth Ledger got a nomination, and I really do have a feeling the academy just might give it to him this year. However, I am a HUGE Robert Downey Jr. I hope he wins!!!

Best Actress in a supporting role: Marissa Tomei was AMAZING in the Wreslter. I hope she wins!!

Best Picture: Although I really really want Milk or Curious Case of Benjamin Button to win, I have a feeling that Slum Dog Millionaire will win.

Best Director: This will be a battle between the director for Slum Dog Millionaire and Milk.

Restaurants in Toronto....

Restaurant name: Really Really Nice
Location: 1220 Queen St. East (Leslie & Queen St East)
Cuisine: Italian - Trendy

Price: $30 - $40 per person...including wine

I find it very hard to believe that a lot of people living in the suburb areas of the GTA have not tried many restaurants in downtown Toronto. To some people, the idea of going out for dinner is going to a nearby Milestones, Kelsey's, Boston Pizza, Montana's and etc...all great restaurants but what about trying something new?Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world. How fortunate are we? Free lessons about other cultures and to be able to experience all kinds of foods without having to fly all over the globe for it.During the summer, a couple of my friends took me to a new Italian restaurant located in the Queen St. East area called Really Really Nice. Yes, Really Really Nice is the name of this trendy Italian Restaurant. One thing I must point out, is that there is no signage that says Really Really Nice at the front of the restaurant...why? I have no idea. However, what you will find at the front of the restaurant, is a HUGE sculptor of a NOSE. Yes, a NOSE. I've been there a few times now, and every time I go....I have to order their Osso bucco. Its sooooooooooo good! The meat just falls off the bone and its just juicy and tender. Queen St. East is an up and coming new trendy area for restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend exploring this part of downtown Toronto. Do it while there's still free parking available!!! Check out this link for my information http://www.dine.to/gioranas

Thanks and Enjoy! Bon Appetite my friends.

David Tao in concert at the ACC Toronto 2007

In 2007, I was fortunate enough to see a very well-known Asian singer song writter perform at the Air Canada Center in Toronto CANADA. Born and raised in Los Angelos, CA - David Tao moved to Taiwan to pursue his career in the Entertainment industry. He truly is a talent of the Asian Music Industry. The show at the ACC was good, but thought it could've been a bit better...or perhaps I had a much higher expectation of his performance? Although I do not speak mandarin ... still I was able to grasp a few words here and there.
